ProductShake ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Real Japan mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
Information We Collect
Location Data
With your permission, we collect your device's location to show nearby attractions and display your position on the map. Location access is only used while the App is open and is not collected in the background. You can enable or disable location access at any time through your device's Settings.
Device Identifier
We generate a random identifier for your device to associate your reviews with your device. This identifier does not personally identify you and is stored locally on your device and on our servers when you submit reviews.
User-Submitted Content
When you submit a review, we collect the name you provide, your rating, and any review text you write. This information is stored on our servers and displayed publicly in the App.
App Preferences
We store your app preferences (such as distance units and nearby search radius) locally on your device. This information is not transmitted to our servers.
How We Use Your Information
- To show attractions near your current location
- To display your position on the map
- To display your reviews to other users
- To remember your app preferences
Third-Party Services
We use MapBox for map rendering and offline map functionality. When you use map features, MapBox may collect certain technical information as described in their Privacy Policy.
Data Storage and Security
Your app preferences and device identifier are stored locally on your device. Reviews you submit are stored on our servers. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Reviews you submit are displayed publicly within the App. We may share information if required by law or to protect our rights.
Your Rights
- You can disable location access at any time in your device's Settings
- You can request deletion of your reviews by contacting us
- You can uninstall the App to remove locally stored data
Children's Privacy
Our App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App and updating the "Effective Date" above.
